Imagen de la JornadaEl sábado 29 de junio, con motivo del XXV aniversario de la Asociación de Retinosis Pigmentaria de Cataluña, se organizó una jornada científica. La apertura del acto corrió a cargo de Sra. Gloria Renom Vallbona, Diputada del Parlamento de Cataluña y miembro de la Comisión de Salud,  quien estaba acompañada del Sr. Xavier Grau Sabaté, delegado Territorial de ONCE Cataluña, y Jordi Palá Vendrel, Presidente de AARPC.

Posteriormente, se desarrollaron una serie de conferencias. En la primera parte, “25 Años de Avances Clínicos”, intervinieron la Dra. Socorro Alforja Castiella, Oftalmologa Especialista en Vitreo-retina,  la Dra. Carmen Ayuso García, Jefe Asociado del Departamento de Genética de la Fundación Jiménez Díaz,  con una ponencia sobre aspectos genéticos de la distrofia de retina,  y el Dr. César Orús Dotu, Responsable Clínico del Departamento de Otorrinolaringología del Hospital de la Santa, con la ponencia “Otorrinolaringología: Implantes Cocleares.”

En la segunda parte, bajo el lema, “Evolución de la investigación”,  participaron el Dr.  Josep Torrent-Farnell, Miembro del Comité de Medicamentos Huérfanos (COMP), con una ponencia sobre farmacología, el Dr. Dr. EImagen de la ponencia de la Dra. Ayuso.duardo Fernández Jover., Director de la Cátedra de Investigación de Retinosis Pigmentaria Bidons Egara, quién habló sobre biología celular, y el Dr. Andrés G. Fernández, con la ponencia de título Biotecnología.

Para finalizar, se celebró una comida en la que participaron pacientes, familiares, socios y colaboradores.
